My cousins from Sabah are back to KL once again. They only came back once a year for not more than a month & they will only be here for 3 weeks this time. We always try our best to have lotsa gathering whenever they are back. We always went for Karaoke Session because we love to sing though we are not professionals but that's the place for people like us love to sing but like crap but to have fun :) We planned for a dinner gathering, dinning in Restaurant/Cafe or drinking in the bar or club is too mainstream and we have a few underage. BBQ/Steamboat at home will ended up no one cleaning it. So I've decided to give a try at Taman Desa Japanese BBQ which I've been seeing lotsa people posting it.

 It was on the last Friday night.

This is the menu, price range from RM5 - RM25. I'd say it's reasonable. It's a long regular piece of menu. As all of us can't take beef & I somehow stopped taking beef, so we ordered pork & lamb.

It's a typical BBQ style with charcoal burning it. Each table will have one, unless you're in a big bunch of group then you'll probably get 2.

Each of us are served with this sauce, which I find it kinda bit tasteless. Or we just haven't figure out how it should be dipped. Hehe ..

I'd say their meats taste better than our expectation. Those BBQ meats we ordered out there are usually dry & you have to dip sauces for better taste. But as for the meats in this place, you will not need to dip any sauces & it taste just good! It's juicy after cooked, you won't feel its dry at all and it's tasteful I'd say.  Therefore we somehow wasted their sauce served by them. =X


Mushroom Foil Yoki. It taste good. There're onions in it. Few different types of Mushrooms together inside.


Squid Foil Yoki. The taste just right with their marinated sauce & onions.



We ordered Pork, Chicken & Cold Ramen. I don't say it's the best ramen but I'd say it taste good too.

Oh, Candid Shot. In case you might not want to spend too much on drinks or can't decide what drinks to order, you can probably order tea & they'll serve your tea in a big jar/jug & you can refill! It's only RM1/pax for the tea. Awesome uh? :D Yea, we actually ordered 4 bottles of Tiger. It's always BBQ's best friend. :)

You will not need a professional chef to cook for you because it'll taste just awesome & juicy with your own chef :D





In overall, I'll definitely suggest this place if any friends/family gathering because it's a typical BBQ with the real charcoal fire burning there. Unless BBQ plaza or Seoul Garden you can see in most of the mall, they uses a pan for the BBQ. If you're looking for a typical BBQ style & lazy to clean up your house after it, you can definitely try here.

It's located quite inside the area, but as you follow the GPS, it aint that hard to find. You may try calling their number for reservation because it's kinda full house when we went on the friday night.
